Cocktails: The Best in Galway

In the last few weeks I’ve noticed that a lot of people have been coming forward to me, asking me where’s the best place to get a decent cocktail in Galway, or where has the best drink deals. Maybe it’s because the weather is improving and cocktail season is amongst us, but nonetheless, my top spots in this little city are below.

Hyde Bar

Hyde is my go to number one for a drink or three with the girls. Not only do they have the nicest gin and cocktail bar, but the interior is magnifique. If you’re really into getting that perfect insta while having a really plush drink, choose Hyde. It’s out of this world.

My reason for absolutely loving Tribeton for a drink is because they have the most unusual yet aesthetically pleasing menu. Choose between dozens of amazing flavours and liquors and build a delicious cocktail of your liking.

Harry’s Bar

Harry’s is certainly one of my go-to spots for both food and drink, but my gosh their cocktails are to die for. If you’re ever in the area or looking for a thirst quenching beverage, buy one of their strawberry daquiri’s (although they’re way too easy to drink!). Those looking for cocktail deals will find bargains as unbelievable as 2 cocktails for €10 and so forth. This spot is a dream.

Buddha Bar

Somewhere I have not yet dined in, but have drank in, is the Buddha Bar, which is only seconds around the corner from Eglinton Street. Although you’d never think to go here, they have some delicious cocktails to try, and I highly recommend both their Apple Martini and Bali Beach Ice Tea. So divine!

Bite Club

Oh how the Water Melon Slushies of Bite Club give me joy. If you’re not familiar with Bite Club, this is the sister and dining area of Electric Night Club, located on lower Abbeygate Street. Not only do they have the most amazing cocktails, but they also have divine watermelon slushy cocktails for under €6. This place is cheap and cheerful but extremely delish!

The G Hotel

I recently dined in The G Hotel alongside a friend where we enjoyed delicious cocktails and afternoon tea. They’re cocktails (although much too easy to drink), where absolutely delicious and I’d go back in a heartbeat! A must visit if you’re looking for a little treat.

Although I’ve only named a short handful of places, I do believe that I’ve named some incredible (and very affordable) places! With the Bank Holiday just a few days away, get that list out and enjoy a cocktail in the sun. ☀️
